"The ABC of Chinese" and "Standard Chinese" are foreign-Chinese multimedia curricula manufactured by the National Information Center. This teaching material is mainly edited by professors Chen Fu and Zhang Hesheng from College of Chinese Language and Cultrue BNU, with 15 foreign-Chinese teaching senior experts participated in the compilation, and completed under the supervision of China National office for Teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
At present, there are six kinds of Chinese language courses for different classes: "The ABC of Chinese","Standard Chinese"(elementarypartI).“Standard Chinese”(elementary part Ⅱ), "standard Chinese" (intermediate part I), "Standard Chinese" (intermediate part Ⅱ), "Standard Chinese" (intermediate part Ⅲ). The degree of difficulty is from the elementary to the profound, the level is from low to high. The attendees will have middle level Chinese ability if they complete all courses. The curriculum not only includes four main courses of the basic training for understanding, speaking, reading writing abilities in terms of standard Chinese pronunciation, standard Chinese, the ABC of Chinese, but also a large number exercises and reading materials to be the supplementary study contents. |

| The ABC of Chinese |
The ABC of Chinese is some introductions about Chinese, including several partial contents----Chinese outline, Chinese pronunciation, modern Chinese grammar, and Chinese character. It can help you first understand some elementary knowledge about Chinese, pronunciation rules, constitution rules of Chinese character, and so on, before studying Chinese. You can benefit a lot from it.
Explain Chinese pronunciation, grammar and character, and match with exercise through the multimedia demonstration from the starting point.Enable the learners to examine the effect of their study.Through accurate explanation,concrete examples ,uniquedemonstration and other forms with rich and multi-colors contents, guide you toapproach,study and grasp Chinese step by step. Take the scene teaching as the clue, put the language grammar, cultural background, and so on, into a certain scene, and make the learners appreciate and study modern China’s language and culture through a natural and practical scene. |

| Standard Chinese |
Standard Chinese includes standard Chinese from (1) to (5), with each part 12 lessons and each lesson including five parts, glossary, grammar, conversation, listening, and reading. You may carry on the study in turn or choose the contents you have interest in. These aspects contain each essential factor of Chinese studying. As long as you persist listening, speaking, reading, and writing, you will certainly have a harvest.
Take English Chinese learners with English as their mother tongue or medium language for teaching objects, especially suitable for foreign students who prepare to take the test of HSK to use. The course content is mainly offered for foreign official and commercial personnel stationed in China, overseas students, Hong-Kong, Macao and Taiwan area personnel who need to study Chinese mandarin, and students from overseas Chinese schools, foreign universities and middle schools taking Chinese as optional course. This teaching material is based on Chinese Proficiency Test Glossary Outline, Syllabus of Chinese Character, Syllabus of Chinese Grammar, and provides the learners a systematic and practical Chinese knowledge system. |
